How much on average does a cosmetology student make right out of school?

What about a nail tech. I am looking into going into cosmetology and I don't know how much to believe the schools (they will tell me anything to make it sound good). So how about you cosmetologists out there? If you don;t mind my asking, how much did you make right out of school, how long have you been doing hair? Do you like it/have you ever regretted going into this profession? Sorry theres so many questions. Thanks in advance for all hte help!

Aesthetician/ Esthetician Schools??

I want to go into esthetics, and I know I have to get a certain license or something, but i was wondering if anyone in this field could tell me what kind of education i would need. Right now I am geting my General AA degree at a community college. Also, I live in Southern CA right now, but maybe in a year or two I wanted to move to Canada with my boyfriend, but i know that some colleges give out licenses that are only good for whatever state you study in. I am a newly licensed esthetician. I really enjoy make-up artistry & I want to take my career in that direction. How do I start up a portfolio? What (how much) will I need to buy for supplies (ie: tools & make-up)? Do I need to hire a professional photographer? Thanks in advance for your advice!

If I have my esthetician license in Texas, can I use it in California?

I am getting ready to begin school in Texas to get my esthetician license. But I am also a military wife and will (in about 2 years) be moving back to California. Texas does require more hours than California, so when I get to Ca. can I use my license there? I am thinking I will have to take the state test, but I don't have to take all the classes again, right? Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!

What is the budget of materials for beauty school?

I'm thinking of going to beauty school and well the monthly fee is good(for 11 month is the duration of the school) and i would like to know how much would you spend on materials and all that stuff. And i already have somethings like a curling iron, a straighter, blow dryer, manicure set (simple one) but NOT scissors. So with what i have how much approximately would i spend. I am moving to Orlando, FL, next summer and am curious what the requirements are for a Disney World Resort aesthetician, e.g., special training, 2 yrs experience, or is just an aesthetician license required? Thanks in advance. I'll be sure to pick a best answer.

Microdermabrasion?

I am considering having microdermabrasion to help get rid of acne scars on my face.
The thing I'm wondering is, my acne scars are more sunken in than raised, and discolored, and I'm wondering if there is a more effective procedure for that rather than microdermabrasion?
