I am thinking of having skin tightening on my face done at a medical spa. Who has had this done?
Were you happy with it? Is it worth the money?
Just to clarify, the Medical Spa is part of a plastic surgeon practice and this procedure is done by a nurse.

Questions about becoming an esthetician? Anyone know how to find the best schools????
I am very interested in getting my license. Does it matter what school I go too? How do you make the best money? Can I get the products myself even if I work on my own or do I have to contract with a plastic surgeon? example skin medica and blue peels ect.
Anyone know how to find the best schools???? Thanx.

Budgeted single mom over 40 interested in attending nursing school. How? Should I? Financing? First Steps?
I have allowed the enormity of the questions I am asking to stop me from doing anything and can not afford to be inactive about this decision any longer.
I am single, non insured, currently in great health, licensed esthetician operating my own business out of a Chiropractic Wellness clinic. I Love my career but believe there may be limitations to it's ability to provide a solid retirement for me as a single mom.
Benefits to what I do now: Incredible flexibility in schedule, sufficient income for my current situation, great work environment, ability to increase income.
Disadvantages: No insurance provided, No retirement, Luxury business in a somwhat economically challenged area.
My thought is to return to college (existing credits of about sophmore level initially business major) to acquire nursing degree ( which one? I don't know) Combine with Esthetics license and work for plastic surgeon.
Any thoughts, input or suggestions would be appreciated!

Would I need to be a Physicians Assistant, Nurse Practician, ect. to work with a Plastic Surgeon?
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and my main goal is to work side-by-side with a Plastic Surgeon. I have always been extremely interested in Laser Scar Removal, Botox, Breast Agmentation, Rhinoplasty, Lipodissolve, ect. I would also like to maybe do some reconstructive work for burn victums.
My plan as of lately is to get my foot in the door by going to school to be a Master Medical Esthetician, not to be confused with a simple Esthetician (many states don't offer this license, but Utah is one of the few who do.) Master Medical Estheticians learn all the normal Esthetics as well as extensive training on the Medical side of things; Micodermabrasion, LED light therapy, laser hair removal, botox, ect. Once I have this license, I plan on trying my best to get as good of a job as I can in this field with the economy being as crappy as is it right now, then get all of my general ed. out of the way by doing online courses.
Then my plan is to go to the University of Utah to study something in the medical field that would allow me to work side-by-side with, or under the insurance of, a Plastic Surgeon, but I'm not sure what degree would allow me to do this! Would it be a Physicians Assistant? A Nurse Practician? Something else?
If anyone know the answer to this or if anyone thinks this is a horrible way to go about doing things, please feel free to share.
THANKS!

Ever had liposuction or injections in a medical spa by someone other that a doctor?
Tell me your story. I am a plastic surgeon in Utah trying to find out how common this is, and where. I have seen patients whom have had problems associated with this.
Let me clarify. I am not looking for a plastic surgeon. I find some of the practices going on in medical spas with poorly trained individuals doing operative procedures. I am looking for people whom have had such an experience.

If your an Esthetician do U like your career and what’s the salary like?is everyone nice generally?
Was thinking of going to this local school that looks GREAT. Want to make sure my salary would be pretty good to pay off this loan, if I go.
And the classes start every month!
)
IF U WORK FOR A PLASTIC SURGEON, HOW MUCH DO THEY PAY? ARE THEY NICE TO WORK WITH/FOR?

Anyone had liposuction in a medical spa that left them disfigured?
I am a plastic surgeon and am interested in stories of those people whom had liposuction in a medical spa, particularly when the person performing the procedure is not a physician. I find this extremely dangerous and I am trying to get the general public's perception of this.
