How do I go about talking my dermatologist into giving me acutane for my acne?

I want to use the strongest method for getting rid of my acne.I've had it for 5 years and it's no
little white heads.It's cystic ance and it's painful
and severe.Pimples with no head.Just big red bumps that itch and throb.I saw another dermatologist last year who told me I had to buy a bunch of otc stuff.I was pissed because I thought they were supposed to give you a prescription cream or pill.What can I say to
try and get my derm. to give me good treatment for severe acne?

What does it cost to see a dermatologist?

I don't have a severe acne problem, but I seem to always have a few pimples here and there. I've tried proactiv, etc., but think there may be something that a doctor could perscribe to get rid of those few nagging pimples.

I asked for dermabrasion she is suggested it is not safe and micro dermabrasion works for your case. does it remove holes on the face. please suggest me. Thank you

Do anyone know what are the substance that dermatologist injecting if we have a cystic acne in face?

If yes i still want to know the names of the antibiotics.
I've heard that dermatologist are the one who make their own antibiotics to inject.

HELP with COMA WIFE EMBARRASSMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

My wife of seven years has been comatose for about a month nd a half after an accident. I love her dearly, However, I've noticed she is starting to grow a moustache and some hairs on her chin. Also, day by day I am noticing pimples all over her forehead. Her brows are becoming a unibrow. All in all, she isn't the same woman I fell in love with. She looks ghastly. Before you all attack me, think about this - my wife was a VERY vain woman who took really great care of herself. I want to help. Will the hospital let me shave her face, and get her favorite esthetician to come in and do a facial? I was also thinking of putting makeup on her, to y'know doll her up and make her feel better, and look better. She looks so bad, I hate looking at her, I know I sound awful, but I'm, really not.

How to get rid of pimples?

Let’s see I am 28 years old. I have had moderate acne since early high school. My beard is really course and thick and I think most of my problems are ingrown hairs. My skin is very sensitive and sometimes gets a bit oily. I have used proactive which helps but I know it is terrible for the skin, Zeno which did not work at all it made my pimples grotesque, benzyl peroxides, and just about every product under the sun. I don’t want to use proactive any more so I am trying this stuff my mom’s esthetician gave her since my skin is genetically a lot like hers. I am actually going to get a facial by her esthetician tomorrow but ever since I stopped the proactive my pimples have gotten bad. This all seems really dumb to me since I am a pre-med major at UCLA and frustrating because I am an attractive guy. Anyways, I have thought that maybe I am washing to much (2 times a day) or that because I am doing something new all the sebum is acting up more and that is why I am seeing more blemishes. I hope this is the case and that after a couple of weeks I will have healthy clear skin. Does anyone know what I can do to prevent this or if this is the case?

Does anyone know the best treatment for my type of acne what is a chemical peel?

My acne is red and bumpy and its sensitive to the touch. I don't get the whiteness to my pimples they just stay red. I've tried everything from presciptions to proactiv I feel like nothing is helping. My face is all dried out from all the stuff i've used. I read on another question someone suggested a chemical peel or laser treatment for scars can you get it done for acne too?

Help–Question about becoming an esthetician?

I get facials done every so often (the type where the facialist squeezes everything out of your pores/pimples). What type of college and training would you have to go through to become an esthetician like that? I have read about having to go to beauty schools to become an esthetician, but doesn't it take more training than that? Don't you have to learn about what effects different things have on your skin/face first? What would I have to major in if I'm an undergrad right now?

Is it okay to use microdermabrasion on acne prone skin?

I have mild acne on the sides of my face (mostly blackheads with like two red pimples). I’ve been using benzoyl peroxide to treat it and now my face is dry and flaky. Is it okay to use a microdermabrasion cleanser on my skin? Do you think it will help the flakiness? Will it make my acne worse? Please Help?
