Which career should I choose?

I am thinking about jobs and I'm trying to decide between massage therapist or a hairstylist/cosmetologist/esthetician. Which would make me more money and which has more jobs available?

Should I get an esthetician licence on top of my cosmetology licence?

I'm in cosmetology school right now, and I was wondering if I should get my estetician licence too. I was wondering if it would make me more money and get me a better job opportunity?

GUYS! Why wont my boyfriend marry me?

I am 21 years old. A Spa Director.Esthetician Firefighter/EMT and Have a honda cbr 600 rr [motorcycle]. I am outgoing, love to laugh, and help anyone and everyone whenever I can. It's my job.
PROBLEM!! My boyfriend of over 2 years just wont say anything about the future?? What is it about me that makes me non-marriage material? I have money. I can cook great. Love dogs. Open to having kids. Independent. He does none of this. No college degree etc. We get along great. I let him do whatever he wants. See him twice a week TOPS. What am I doing wrong??

Im 4 foot 11. Not overweight...[not that I have anything against anyone that is!] Im just starting to lose self esteem...getting pretty bummed out. ANY advice would be great!
Yeah he defiantly takes all that he can that is for sure. I do agree 21 is too young to be getting married. I just wish there was some type of momentum in the relationship. Thanks for all the input!

I was wondering is I decide to go to beauty school do they ~make good money

where would a good place be to meet quality guys?

im a 20 year old female, and i have had plenty of boyfriends, but i have really been getting my act together lately..i went to school, graduated, im a state board licensed esthetician, have two jobs, and am buying a new car soon, and im just really trying to get my life going and am doing well at it!
every guy i meet or talk to is either a loser (no car, no job, not going to school, no phone, has a kid when theyre 19 or something..with NO money) and theyre just no good..no motivation
or ill meet a successful guy, and theyre weird or annoying..or everything is going well, but then they have just played me, and ignore me the next day cuz i didnt sleep with him!

ive tried a little bit of internet dating..im 20 so i cant go to the bar scene..ive tried meeting people through friends.
idk i just feel hopeless..?? i know many woman go through this
im just wondering where a good place to meet someone would be?
just need a good, quality guy!
i mean, i dont need one, but it would be a nice thing to have in my life, a good healthy relationship

I would like to obtain a skill that it something I enjoy. Above are the two choices. However.. I want to get in and out and at 45.. 15 months is a long time.. then to graduate.. get certified and find work adds to it. There use to be more shorter programs.. but these schools want to extend it to make a lot more money for the school.. I called a Univeristy and for 4 years here in WI.. it was 30's. So.. to do this.. will take a big chunk out of my wallet later. Thank You.. Globe had no stats on placement statistics.. either. I am truly begining to beleive they want us indebted in loans.. especially... now that the Government are taking over.

Should I take the Cosmetology program or the Esthetician program? Help!?

Hi, I am going to go to school for either cosmetology or esthiology.

I don't know which one to go to because both of them are appealing to me and I like how each course sounds.

I have always wanted to enter cosmetology school from a young age and have always had a natural ability to color, cut, and style hair. I have been coloring, cutting, and styling my family and friends hair as well as my own, for several years and have never had any complaints.

I just recently (about 3 months ago) became interested in becomming and Esthetician. I really love the concept of going into work and giving facials, body treatments, and performing waxing services. I would also take classes afterward to get licensed as a massage therapist so i could also offer more variety of massage as opposed to the simple swedish taught in esthetics school.

I've been reading on here a while at similar questions and wanted to clear something up. For those of you telling people to go to cosmetology because they "do it all" that just isn't true. It is true that in cosmetology school you learn the BASICS of nails, facials, and sometimes makeup, but it doesn't teach in depth study like the Esthetician course does and you cannot work as an Esthetician if you have a cosmetology license because it only teaches basic facials... In some smaller towns then perhaps thats the case where you really can do it all, but where I'm from, cosmetology is 95% study of learning cut color and styling techniques and focuses more on nails than on skin care and makeup when they get to those areas. Just wanted to clear it up for anyone still confused about the difference. (mind you some of these questions were from years ago so I guess it doesn't realy matter...just saying)

Anywho, I know that Esthetician services may be more viewed by the general public as "luxury items" and aren't as likely to spend money on that stuff than on a hair cut and color, but Esthetics treatments are really big in the New Age and Spiritualist Universalist community that I don't worry about income (since new age spiritualism is big here) and because I want to do what i love.

That's my main problem, I love it all but don't want to do it all, I want to have one major area of specialty like either hair or esthetic services.

How do I figure out which one is going to be better for me? I know it isn't such a huge deal because i can always go back for the other one, but I'd rather get it right the first time and not be wasting time and money on schooling I dont need.

So anyone who has suggestions? Cosmetologists or Estheticians who absolutely love their jobs or hate them with any adice? All comments that are not nasty and or hateful are welcome!

i really want to go to beauty school to learn how to do hair, but idk how long it takes to go through the schooling? or how good the money would be to get a career in hair?? any answers will help..thanx :].

Can someone answer some questions I have about aestheticians?

First of all, what do they do? I've always thought they did facials, chemical peels, microderm abrasion, and stuff like that. Is this right?

Second, how much are they usually paid? Is it a pretty low paying career? Or could you make some good money?

Third, what kind of schooling would you have to go through to become one? And how long does it take?

Also, on shows like "Ten Years Younger" and other make over shows, when they get work done on their face, is that an aesthetician that they go to? Or is that a dermatologist?

Can you sue a trade school for not teaching everything they were supposed to?

I attended a "master esthetician" course and they outlined everything we were supposed to learn. I was part of the very first class they were offering this program to and they did not teach everything. In fact, some of the machines and equipment didn't even come in until my last week of attendance. Would I be able to sue them for my money back? I paid over ,000 and only learned 1/4 of what I was supposed to.
