is it not recommended to give a cancer patient a facial?

My mother has bone cancer and is receiving kemo. I am studing to be an esthetician and would like to know if my mom can receive facials? I usually give her a soothing facial the day before she gets her treatment. I've been told at school that it's not recommended but I'd like to have other opinions only because she really enjoys it and it's a nice time for her to relax and forget about what's going on. For me it's a little hard to believe that it would hurt her in any ways but then again I'm not an expert.

how do i start preparing in highschool to be a dermatologist?

Any tips? No one in my family is or has been a dermatologist, except my mom was a chemist and my dad an engineer. how should i prepare myself to be one and what should i expect? what all do you have to do to get board certified? I'm 15 and a sophomore in high school.

My mom has Fungi on her nails and she cleans houses so with the bleach its really hurting her nails she got it when they did her nails at the spa. She has no medical insurance, so over the counter medicine.

How much would It cost for a dermatologist to check for nerve damage?

I have burn that cover my left side and had a skin graft done to help heal it. My mom says it's a two degree burn and I've had since I was two or three. The problem is that I'm trying to enlist in the Marines and my medical records have been destroyed. My mom doesn't remember anything about it. What would you do if you paid for college and they want to kick you out because you're not good enough?

I really wanted to be an esthetician and my mom paid alot of money for me to go. I have been there every single day, completed all tests, did my projects, yet the school thinks that Im not up to everyone else's level in the class so if Im not better within a certain amount of time they will let me go. but just because It takes me awhile to learn something and get better at, is that right of them to do this since its school and not a real job? I mean we give them all this money and they should teach everyone even if they are behind a bit. they said they have to keep up with the school's reputation and my mom said she will never help me with college again after this, but this is something I really wanted to do and now that I know I have to get better or else im kicked out makes me think I'll mess up at my work even more. I guess Im just wanting to know if they are in the right, or not? should I keep trying even if it might all be for nothing?

What is it like sitting in a dermatologist's waiting room?

I'm 17 and i've had moderate acne for a couple of years. I'm thinking of asking my mom to take me to a dermatologist, but I'm just wondering: is it excruciatingly embarrassing to sit in the waiting room? It seems like there would people looking at you, knowing you were there for acne. And especially people who were there for non-facial skin problems, just staring at you. How is the waiting room set up? Any other helpful info? I really appreciate it.

Which spa package should I get?

Which spa package should I get? .. and maybe one for my mom for Mother's day this May...

The Aqua Medical Spa by my house is having a spring promotion... when finals are over ...I'm thinking of booking one of these packages with their medical esthetician Cathy... heard she's really good... but I can't decide on which one is the best deal.. I really want the 4th one with the botox... but not sure if that's a good deal...

My mom has always thought I'd make a good Esthetician.. But I'm really not sure what they do exactly. And what kind of schooling would you need for this?

its so hard i only have a week to figure it out cuz im in gr 12 and i have to look at colleges
in my spare time i basicaly look at makeup videous and skincare basicaly cuz i have acne and dark circles. and im always looking at how to fix them.... so im either on youtube or searching up skincare advice. i dont like to do eye makeup
i would go to beauty school but im indian and pple would be oh wow couldnt u find a better job. And plus my mom wants me to do something better than that.

being a dermatologist is like 12 years??? thtas so long plus im not good at physics or chem. i like taking easy classes.

What career should I choose?

I am 19 years old and I have been battling with what major I should choose at my technical college for about 2 years. I don't really know what I wanna do anymore. I used to want to go to cosmetology school, then I wanted to be an esthetician. I changed my major to business, but I don't know if i'd like that either. I thought about computer work because I liked computer applications and stuff in highschool or something but same thing. I also want to be able to do things in life like travel, buy me and my mom a house, and just not feel like i'm worrying/stressing my life away. I've also even considered wedding cake designer, or interior designer. I'd almost like to try it all. I know I have time to decide, but i have been out of school for two years and I really feel lost and depressed and like i have no purpose. Is there anything out there you would suggest? Or any ideas anyone may have?
