I mean be professionally in all 3 of them? I love makeup, hair and skin care! I'm going to school for cosmetology and my dream is to have my own business, like bridal. But I always hear that you can only be good at one. Is that true?

Has anyone ever had a microdermabrasion?

I have alot of dark spots on my face due to occasional bouts of acne. I'm able to make my skin look flawless with my makeup, but sometimes I don't want to wear makeup and just show a healthy, glowing even skin tone. I've tried Clean and Clear, Olay Regenerist, Ambi Fade Cream, Dove Exfoliating products, ....etc. My next step is to go to the doctor and have microdermabrasion? Has anyone ever had that? If so, what does it feel like? Does it work? Were the results worth it? Or is there another process to get rid of the dark spots and achieve an even skin tone.

How do you become a make-up artist?

I want to apply makeup for a living and I was told to go to school to become an esthetician but when I started we learned alot about spas but very little about makeup. I'm not interested in learning about facials and massages..just makeup. So is there a school or classes that I can go to that is just for makeup? Also how do you get a job at a makeup counter?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the process of getting into working for M.A.C cosmetics.

I live in Canada and I wanted to know if anyone out there has worked for them . I am presently an Esthetician looking for some part time work-(reason for possibly applying for MAC)- I would love to gain more knowledge and experience with Makeup.
Is it hard to get to work for them.. Is it commission based?
And how is the training. Any tips or additional info would be really great!!
I understand I would have to go to Montreal for this training..

What are my chances better that I have an Esthetician license?

How much do you get paid to work in a beauty salon?

I've been thinking about getting a certificate in beauty school, so i can work as an esthetician for waxing, nails and makeup.
I'm just wondering how much this kind of job pays when you're starting out? (i live in canada)
omg...honestly i think people dont even read the questions on here...i didnt say for hair ...i dindt say hairdressing..i said aestitician work..nails..makeup..waxing...body wraps...spa stuff. not hair.

How do you get your Cosmetology license in NY? Do you have to go to Beauty School?

I work as an apprentice manicurist but I also know how to do waxing, coloring, cutting, styling, makeup and etc. under the supervision of my boss.
I wanted to know if I can just take the test without going to beauty school or it's a must that I have to go to beauty school and do the hour requirements that I see are listed?

What one should I go for to become a make-up artist? I'm not all that passionate about hair or nails, just skin and makeup.

Is it weird for someone who doesn't already know much about hair to go to beauty school?

I think I do ok with my own hair, I could do better. I don't know that much about styling hair. I'm really interested in learning more about hair and makeup but I feel that people who go to beauty school already have some hair knowledge, I feel like I would be behind everyone. Any suggestions/opinions?
