How to get a job as a makeup artist without cosmetology school?

For a long time I've been wanting to get a job as a makeup artist, primarily working for a cosmetic company (such as Smashbox, NARS, Too Faced, or other higher end cosmetics) because I'm passionate about makeup and I feel confident with applying it on others. But I have NO talent whatsoever with hair, I tried to go to cosmetology school for makeup skills but I couldn't handle doing hair.

So how far could I get in the makeup industry without a cosmetology license?

How much could i make in a salon?

I am going to go to school to be a hair stylist/ makeup artist/ nail technician/ esthetician so i can give facials.....with all of this how much would i make in a salon?

What licenses are needed or helpful in landing a job as a makeup artist? I am wanting to be a certified Esthetician because people say you need to have that license in order to become one? Or at least it looks better on a resume...is this true? Any other licenses that I should know about? Thanksssss

What is a good cosmetology in the Los Angeles Area?

I am currently attending Pasadena City College. I really don't like it there, it is hard to get classes and it takes forever to transfer. I have been really considering going to a cosmetology school to learn how to be a makeup artist. I want to know what school is good.

im 15 and want to go to beauty school, but i dont want to be a hairstylist or a makeup artist, i just want to go right now to learn about hair tips and make up tips, i know they have stuff like that can you send me some links liek that for the tri-state area?! thx 5 stars reward

what does that mean exactly? when people put that as their source does that mean that they are a licensed makeup artist or esthetician? why don't they just put that instead of 'many years in the beauty business'? Or does 'many years in the beauty business' mean 'i worked at my little sister's prom makeup many years ago'?

Cosmetology, Esthetician or Medical Assistant?

Which one is a good career for a single 24 year old female? I can't decide which one I want go for, it's really making me frustrated! I always wanted to be a makeup artist, but I don't think it's a stable career. I definitely plan on getting married and having kids one day, and be a stay at home mom.. I want something I can go back to when my kids grow up. I'm just so confused!!
