Sculptra is a synthetic injectable material known as "poly-L-lactic acid", a material that does not harm the body and it is able to be broken down by the body. Sculptra is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. Visible results appear within the first few Sculptra treatment sessions.
At your first Sculptra treatment with Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi at London Medical & Aesthetic Clinic, 1 Harley Street, London, it may appear that Sculptra worked immediately because of swelling from the injections and the water used to dilute Sculptra, but when the swelling goes down and the water is absorbed by your body, you may look as you did before your treatment. Sculptra works gradually to correct the depression in your skin. Sculptra will be multiple injections in small amounts into the skin using a very fine needle. After the each Sculptra treatment session, the area should be thoroughly massaged to distribute the product evenly. The volume achieved with Sculptra will last about 2-3 years. Most patients require 2-5 injection sessions, 4-6 weeks apart to achieve optimum results.
The Velashape combines gentle light and radio frequency energies with mechanical rollers and vacuum suction to manipulate the superficial fat tissue layer that contributes to cellulite. The Velashape heat with RF energies shrinks the size of fat cells. Also, Velashape mechanical rollers and vacuum suction act on the blood vessels to increase circulation to the local area to achieve a smoother less dimpled surface appearance. Most patients after 6 to 8 Velashape treatments notice recontouring of areas such as, love handles, saddlebags of unwanted bulges and disproportionate fatty areas which are measurable by a reduction in circumference or girth. Velashape treatment usually takes about 35-60 minutes long, with no downtime. During the Velashape treatment you will feel a deep, soothing heat like having a deep tissue massage in the targeted area. Velashape at London Medical & Aesthetic Clinic, 1 Harley Street, London will contour, shape and slim your body by improving cellulite and reducing circumference in as few as six treatment sessions.

Is a career as a Massage Therapist a good choice?
I am currently an esthetician/medical esthetician in Canada. I can do all esthetic services as well as laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, cellulite removal, photo facials, etc. I love what I do but was thinking about taking Massage Therapy and perhaps adding that title to my credentials. I am moving to the USA in a couple months as my husband is American and lives there. I noticed that the massage therapy program is only 6 months (as compared to 3 years of college here in Canada). If anyone currently works as a Massage Therapist, can you give me any info in regards to the MT therapy profession, if there are available jobs upon graduating, the pay, etc. Thank you all very much!

5 Reasons Why Laser Hair Removal Is One of the Most Popular Aesthetic Medical Treatments
Author: July Black
Even in this uncertain economy, laser hair removal remains as one of the top five noninvasive cosmetic medical treatments across North America. Along with BOTOX®, injectable fillers and microdermabrasion, it appears that men and women still want a hair-free face and body despite higher unemployment rates, less disposable income and the rising cost of living. While the treatment ranked third in a survey compiled by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for 2009, laser hair removal came in second in another survey compiled by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. And why have more laser hair removal treatments been performed, with numbers increasing every year?
There may be a number of reasons for this:
1. More and more people are becoming more aware of their appearance and just want to look good.
2. Recent studies have shown that people do believe that an improved appearance can give them a competitive edge at work. Better image boosts their career.
3. Cosmetic surgery clinics and doctors understand the demand for the service, and are offering better pricing and discounts to attract business. For example, http://www.tcclinic.com/laser-hair-removal-toronto.php offer laser hair removal fees that are 50% off the regular price.
4. Cosmetic surgery is becoming less and less taboo, allowing more people to take advantage of it without being embarrassed.
5. Laser hair removal can also safely treat ingrown hairs without causing damage. Ingrown hairs can be extremely irritating to the skin, resulting in acne, painful bumps and roughness. The procedure is one of the most effective and least expensive ways to treat the problem.
Laser hair removal is a permanent method of treating unwanted hair growth. Anywhere on the face and body can be targeted, including the armpits and genital area. Really, the only place that any laser technology used for the procedure absolutely cannot treat is the area around the eyes. The skin in the eye area is extremely delicate, and coupled with the dangers of exposing the eyes to intense pulsed light, it can seriously damage the skin and more importantly, the vision of the patient. For this reason, patients should never treat the skin in the area immediately around the eyes. The surrounding bone (the upper cheek bone and bone at the eyebrows) is a good way to determine where the untreatable and treatable areas are located.
