Which career should I choose?

I am thinking about jobs and I'm trying to decide between massage therapist or a hairstylist/cosmetologist/esthetician. Which would make me more money and which has more jobs available?

How do I avoid Salon/Spa drama?

I'm going to school to be an esthetician and it occurred to me while looking at possible jobs that a lot of people state "No DRAMA!" What kind of drama can occur and how do I avoid it? I know I can't control anyone else but I CAN control me.

every guy i meet or talk to is either a loser (no car, no job, not going to school, no phone, has a kid when theyre 19 or something..with NO money) and theyre just no good..no motivation
or ill meet a successful guy, and theyre weird or annoying..or everything is going well, but then they have just played me, and ignore me the next day cuz i didnt sleep with him!

ive tried a little bit of internet dating..im 20 so i cant go to the bar scene..ive tried meeting people through friends.
idk i just feel hopeless..?? i know many woman go through this
im just wondering where a good place to meet someone would be?

im just asking for someone that isnt a f*cking loser and does nothing at all..im jsut looking for my equal..someone who isnt a player, and isnt a creep

and dont insult my job please.

I am 18 years old, and I make $14 an hour + tips and benefits as a makeup artist at Ulta. Is this good money?

I work roughly 35 hours, 5 days a week. On a good day I will get anywhere between -50 in tips, so almost ,000 a month. The tips definitely give me at least an extra -4 an hour. I do not have any traditional college experience, but I am a NYS licensed esthetician. Is this decent for someone my age with my level of experience? I just graduated school a few months ago. I would like to further my education with maybe a nursing degree.
Let me rephrase; I understand that I'm fortunate especially in this economy, it's hard to come across jobs these days. But even though I am entry level, is this good money starting out for an esthetician? I spent a lot of money for my education and even though I don't have a bachelor's degree or even an associates yet, I don't want to be under-payed or taken advantage of because I am still very young. I graduated HS when I was 16, so I guess I'm trying to grow up too fast. I live in Long Island, NY and everything here is pretty expensive.

Become an esthetician?

Should I continue to be miserable in a boring writing job - making around ,000/year OR should I take out a loan for - K and become an esthetician? I would value anyone's thoughts who have had to decide to take a jump like this, keep in mind I have bills c. 0 per month in rent and student loan payments (no other debt) a child entering private school and a husband who makes good money and would support anything I do...but the program is only 5 months...It seems like there is jobs out there and I have always wanted to do it.
the school is about - ,000...for five months...

Can someone give me advice on a career?

I want to something I love, but there is hardly any jobs or money in my chosen career as an aesthetician. I was going to be a nurse, but after my third semester I dropped out because I wasn't passionate about it. However, if I did become an RN I would make more money and have a stable career. Would you rather do something you hate and make tons of money or would you rather do something you love and make very little money?

How do I write a business letter to a salon as a cosmetology student?

I am graduating cosmetology school in a month from now and I want to start looking for jobs at a salon. I have found a few I would like to work at and one of them says to email for employment opportunities. I am having trouble with what I should even say in the letter, I want to explain in the email that I am still in school before I sent any resumes or cover letters, but I don't know how to word it. Help please?

What are your opinions on being an Esthetician or Massage Therapist in Canada?

Hi, I'm planning to do a two year diploma on either Esthetics or Massage Therapist in Canada. Which one is more in demand? When I look at the job site, there are more jobs for Massage Therapist but I've heard most massage therapists experience a burn out after 2-3 years and it's bad on their bodies.

As for Esthetics...anyone in this line?

How much info do I need to include from high school/previous jobs on my resume?

I have my esthetician (facialist) license and I need to make a resume. I'm 21 and the only jobs I've had have been at a restaurant and tanning salon. I don't want my resume to be empty but I don't want to go too in detail about random things. That being said I'm really not sure how much to include about my high school activities/achievements. I'm just not sure that a spa cares if I was in Spanish club or played soccer. While I appreciate any help I'm just looking for answers to my questions or any advice, not someone who just posts 8 resume sites or tells me to google it.
Thanks everyone!
