every guy i meet or talk to is either a loser (no car, no job, not going to school, no phone, has a kid when theyre 19 or something..with NO money) and theyre just no good..no motivation
or ill meet a successful guy, and theyre weird or annoying..or everything is going well, but then they have just played me, and ignore me the next day cuz i didnt sleep with him!
ive tried a little bit of internet dating..im 20 so i cant go to the bar scene..ive tried meeting people through friends.
idk i just feel hopeless..?? i know many woman go through this
im just wondering where a good place to meet someone would be?

What are the pre-required courses for Speech Pathology?
I’m a freshman in college and I’m enrolled in all the pre-requirement courses for pre-med and nursing majors. I don’t feel like I’m on the right track because nursing is not the job I can image my self doing for life because I’ve always dreamed of working as a doctor in refugee camps. I love languages, and I’m more intrigued on getting my masters in speech pathology then apply for medical school. I’ve done a lot research regarding speech pathology studies. But I still feel insecure. If I’ve understood what I’ve read, then the pre-required courses for SPA are english, psy 1.pre-cal, bio for health science majors, chem.. 1a, Phys 202, Introductory Astronomy, and a Cultural Anthropology class. Then attend a B.A. program then a masters program. Right or am I completely misinterpreted what I’ve read :S
thanks for your time!

How much should I ask to be paid hourly for an esthetician position at a tanning salon?
Im going to be applying at a tanning salon where they need a licensed esthetician position filled. It is an hourly rate and I live in Oregon. Since its a requirement that you be licensed it should be above minimum wage. If I get the job what should I request to be paid hourly?

how much can a massage therapist working in a hospital or chiropractic setting make?
I got accepted into a massage therapy program and i'm really excited about it. although, it looks like male massage therapists in spa settings don't do as well as females. so it looks like my best bet is to get into a hospital setting or chiropractic office. what is the job like in these environments? what are the hours usually? how much can I expect to make straight out of school? will a medical setting even hire me straight out of school?
thanks.

Should I become a Hair Stylist, Nail Tech, or Esthetician?
Hi there, I'm quitting my job soon to go to school. From a very oung age I have always wanted to do something in the beauty/spa industry. I still feel that I belong there somewhere, but I can't decide on where.
I know becoming a licensed Cosmetologist means I can do either hair or nails if I want to, however. If I choose to be a nail tech I don't want training in something I don't need like hair care...I'd rather take the nail tech specific program.
I like the idea of esthetics because it is basically facials and body wraps as well as some make up application and waxing but after I graduate I don't have to offer waxing if I don't want to do it or make up or whatever...
I'm basically stuck and though I would ask the Y!A community their thoughts on which career is better? Nail tech, Hair styling, or esthetics?
I'm not in it to make loads of money and get rich because I know that in this industry you have to have a passion for what you do and that the money comes from hard work and dedication. I am also not in it because school is fast and I think its an easy career, I feel that I was meant to be a part of the spa/beauty industry and make other people look and feel good.
Any suggestions would be great and if you are a Nail tech, Esthetician, or Stylist, your experience being in the school and around other beauty professionals would be really a big help.
Thanks!!!

Help, I can't get hired!?
I am baffled! I have over 10 years of sales and managment experience, with excellent closing history. I stayed at home with my son for 4 years, and now I can't even get an interview set up let alone a job.
I am a licensed esthetician, which I accomplished while I was at home and have worked for myself part time.
On one interview they made the statement, "I'm sorry, you just don't have any recent work experience". Is that really that important given my history?
I am in the San Francisco, east bay area....
Seriously, can someone help me?

What would you do if you paid for college and they want to kick you out because you're not good enough?
I really wanted to be an esthetician and my mom paid alot of money for me to go. I have been there every single day, completed all tests, did my projects, yet the school thinks that Im not up to everyone else's level in the class so if Im not better within a certain amount of time they will let me go. but just because It takes me awhile to learn something and get better at, is that right of them to do this since its school and not a real job? I mean we give them all this money and they should teach everyone even if they are behind a bit. they said they have to keep up with the school's reputation and my mom said she will never help me with college again after this, but this is something I really wanted to do and now that I know I have to get better or else im kicked out makes me think I'll mess up at my work even more. I guess Im just wanting to know if they are in the right, or not? should I keep trying even if it might all be for nothing?

How can I become a receptionist?
I'm 18, already finished my first year at a community college, and I currently have a job at a drugstore. Everyone says that I have excellent people skills. I am pretty good with computers. I would like to work at a salon or spa or something of the sort. . .anything EXCEPT in a medical setting, actually. How do I go about doing this?

Esthetician/ Esthiology?
This fall I will be a junior in high school and for the longest I have had no idea what I wanted as career. However, recently I have taken an interest in beauty products and skin care, so I have been looking into esthiology. I find it pretty appealing (except for the giving people facials part), but I wanted to know if it is a growing an in demand career. I live in Philadelphia, PA, and I don't think this career is too in demand here. Is it true that if you move to another state and try to work as an esthetician, your license will become void and you will have to re-earn one?
Are there any esthetician out there? Do you enjoy your job and make a good living? I've tried asking before, but know one answered.
Thanks for the help
