What the difference between "big name" cosmetology schools and cosmetology programs at community colleges?

I want to go to cosmetology school to be a hair stylist. I have found schools that cost k-k (Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, and others) but there are some community colleges and vocational schools with programs that cost only 00. Does it really matter where I go? Can I learn the basics cheaply and take advanced classes at Vidal or Aveda? Please help.

Best bank for a young professional?

Ok.. So I'm a 21 year old male fresh out of beauty school (for the record I'm an esthetician not a hair stylist) with my first real job. I've thus far neglected to open up a bank account because I've heard that since the economic crisis all of the banks have gone down the tubes. It seems that in all my research all I can find is negative things about banks, so I think I'm at a point where I'm just looking for the lesser among evils. So, I think my best strategy is to state what I want, and see if you guys can help me out. So I want to know if any good banks meet the following criteria: Branches available in North Texas-Online banking availability-Good Checking/Savings program-good fraud protection-decent customer service. The only things other than that is I realize banks may vary from branch to branch(in which case recommending a specific one would be appreciated) and also, I'm thinking of getting a CD at some point. So, if anyone out there in my neighborhood knows where to get spectacular banking service (which seems to be something akin to finding a unicorn at this point) I would greatly appreciate it.

How different is Barbering school to Cosmetology school?

Hair Stylist or Barber?
How different is Barbering school to Cosmetology school? Could I go to Cosmetology school (which I have found a cheaper school than barbering in Boston) then still have the choice of working as a barber after that? Or are the programs way to different from each other.

What careers are possible with a cosmetology license?

I know you can be an esthetician, makeup artist, hair stylist, and nail technician. But what are some industry and company careers I could do with this license? I would love to work for mac or sephora, or maybe even an extension company. I know that salon is probably not the right thing for me.
