Calling ALL Estheticians!!!!?

I am going to be going to school full time soon to become an esthetician. I live in Northern Cali and am curious about any pointers you could give me that you wish you would of known before starting a career as an esthetician. I want to work in a very nice day spa/salon and do not want to rent my own room rigth away until I have built my client list. Any info would be great regarding good loans to apply for etc. How do you like your job? Do you make good money? Thank you so very much!

New Job and need ideas from experts?

I just received a new job as a medical aesthetican in a Doctors office. I worked as a esthetician in a day spa for 4 years and we did basic treatments. I am trying to come up with ways to implement treatments that I did in one way or another into the medical facility, at the Doctors request...any suggestions from one professional to another that maybe had this same experience?? Thanks!

What are some upscales spas in the Chicago area?

My friend and I are looking for a spa, and we would like an upscale (NON- medical) spa. It doesn't matter if it's a day spa or a weekend spa. And recomandations would be nice.

Are there any opportunities at a hospital for an esthetician?

Well I currently work at a Day Spa as an esthetician and at the Hospital as a registar for patient access. My plans are to build up my resume with both of these jobs because i do plan on going into the medical part of skin care, which one day I will be working at an Dermatologist office as an paramedical esthetician. I was hoping that there is an opportunities at a hospital with skin care. Even if I have to go back to school for extra classes or etc. I really will like to stay at a stable place with oppotunities for advancement! The hospital is a hard place to get your foot in and im in there but only as a registar person...I just hope if i do get into a Dermatologoist office the pay and opportunites are just as good.... I hope someone can help me cuz theres not much in South NJ!

Can a Chiropractor be a medical director to oversee a Medical spa in the state of Missouri?
