Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant or Bigelow Rice & Bamboo exfoliator/dermabrasion?

Are they the same?

I really like the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliator but the Bigelow Rice & Bamboo dermabrasion is cheaper and you get more. Are they similar in consistency and quality? Which is better?

Dermatologists: Is there a difference in OTC salicylic acid & products from medical spas?

Ie: Obagi salicylic acid vs otc clean & clear salicylic acid? Is benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid the same whether you pay for a product or ? So long as the % is the same? Are these acne fighting ingredients the same quality regardless of brand name?

Cosmetology VS Esthetician. Which JOB?

I am applying for a beauty school that offer Cosmetology and Esthetics Technology. I cannot decide on which would be better for me, I know I would love both of them BUT if I become a cosmetologist I will mostly be doing hair and I know a cosmetologist is also a licensed esthetican but they do not go into as much depth with it. If I were to become and Esthetician I could choose to work at either a spa/salon or go into dermatology. I need some advice, I am 20 years old what job what probably be the best choice? What are some pros and cons for the both of them, & which one do you think has a higher pay? I know I would have to build up clients but what do you think?

Which career is more rewarding?

Graphic Design, Esthetician, or Child and Youth Worker?
Note that both Graphic & Youth Worker are 3 years and Esthetician is 48weeks that jobs hiring may not be hiring then. But which in your opinion would be more rewarding?

Dermatologist: Is there really ANY way to get rid of black heads on your nose?

I have tried OTC stuff as well as facials with microdermabrasion & extractions at a medical day spa but nothing really helps.

And are higher end brands like Philosophy, Murad, etc. better products than OTC drug store brands?

Help, in a slow spa, I need marketing ideas to build my clientele?

It is a fabulous place & really pretty but no one even knows we are there. The store is not going to do any marketing for us so it is up to me (the only aesthetician) & the stylists in the salon to bring in their clientele.

I need ideas that don't cost much to help us bring people in to our spa. We are in the Fort Worth area so there lots of potential people to come in, we just need to be able to reach them. It is also an Aveda concepts but our manager has told us that he will support us any way to help us build business. This is great so there are no contraints, just budget wise for all of us. Anybody have fabulous ideas are so appreciated!

What is the best beauty school in Memphis?

I am looking into attending a beauty school in Memphis, Tennessee. Which is the best school? There are quite a few. Paul Mitchell, Empire Beauty School, Tennessee Academy, etc. I know that Empire has a few bad comments (from the same person) online but they are for different & distant cities. I would love to have comments, information regarding anything & everything (cost, what to expect, etc.) from some actual hair stylists.

Hello Melissa is the name. I am VERY open minded..and I will tell you like it is..because that's just life for ya.. Im more interested in me than I am with you like always if you don't already know... I will do stupid thinqs to see what its like. I rarely take thinqs seriously..but I know how and if I do then I have to.. One day I'm qoinq to chanqe the world, and if its only for one person then thats fine. I'm overly sarcastic. I lauqh at everythinq, Im nice and talkative to people. Even if we just met. I make friends proper quick. I am a veqetarian because I care about animals. I can sometimes be cold hearted. I hold qrudqes for way to lonq.. honestly i am ready to qrow up. But I do know where I want to qo in life, and I will make somethinq of myself & I promise you that. When I grow up, I wanna be a billionaire...haha seriously....(that's my song by the way) but in real talk I want to become a makeup artist..it has always been that way since I was a small child...I know this is what I want to do because it IS my obsession...I have wanted to be EVERY career you can think of at the top of your head right now...but I have always come back to being a makeup artist! I'm debating between Paul Mitchell the School, Toni&Guy, and the Aveda Institute. I've been doing research on the school websites, but I'd like to hear from anyone who's in the industry or has gone to cosmetology school. Thanks!
