I want to be a master esthetician (about 1200 hrs) and a Medical esthetician. Will it work out being both?



I want to be successful doing both regular esthetician doing facials wax and stuff also I wana do botox, derm, laser as well. any advice?

You can be successful doing both, however you may ultimately want to focus on an area of specialty.
As you do your research you’ll need to become aware of "scope of practice." Different states allow estheticians to do different things. They also prohibit estheticians from certain procedures. For example, in many states an esthetician cannot fire a laser at all, other states require you to be under Dr supervision if you are an esthetician using a laser. You’ll need to check your State Board regulations in order to determine what you are allowed to do. Check Medical Board regs as well!
I don’t think there is any state that would allow you to perform (inject) botox, unless you also had the appropriate medical license (in most cases that would be an RN or NP)
Also – there is currently no specific state license for medical esthetician. There are definitely certifications and trainings that are recognized in the industry, but not as part of the state licensing process.
