how do you brighten and/or lighten white hair?

My mom is convinced you can lighten white hair. She wants her hair to be whiter. She already uses the purple shampoo that is supposed to brighten and remove the yellow. I'm an esthetician, not a cosmo, but I'm pretty sure such a thing doesn't exist, but would love to be wrong!
Please Cosmos! Enlighten me!
I’m no cosmo, but…….I hate that purple shampoo. I really do. I find that sometimes it deposits TOO much blue. Tell her to try Manic Panic’s Virgin Snow toner; I’m pretty sure she will be very happy with the results. She could also try doing a color! I really like Clairol Torrids in Platinum Lightening 001B-12AA; you can buy this at Sally’s. I use it with a 30 vol developer and it gets my hair pretty white! I actually don’t need to use a toner every week with this color.
Here is a link to photos of people who have used Virgin Snow:

Right before I read the rest of your question I automatically thought of the purple shampoo. I used that when I had chunky highlights and that really made my hair super white. My hair was so bright and white that even my hairdresser asked me what I was using.
Your mom could try using a blue or violet based toner. There’s one called ‘White Lady’ or ‘Silver Lady’ by Wella. It works really well.
She could also try using a clarifying shampoo along with the purple shampoo she’s currently using. Sometimes there could be something in the water that is making hair brassy or perhaps a styling product that she is using. The clarifying shampoo will help remove all of the junk from her hair.
im a cosmo in training and im pretty sure there is no such thing other than the shampoo your talking about. if she wants it to be white like when your hair has no color why not just bleach it? but if her hair is already white i dont think it can go any whiter. hair cant be clear
