Esthetician License

If I have an esthetician license in Colorado, and was planning on moving to France, what would I need to do?

esthetician license with aa for nursing or bs for nursing?

I want to work in a medical spa, or plastic surgery office doing botox and laser treatments. Do I need my bs for that or can I be a rn with my aa in nursing?And is it better to work in my esthetician license first then my rn license?

Estheticians, please help?

I studied to be a pharmacy technician.. which sounded good at the time. What they didn't tell me was that I had to renew my license every year which meant paying about whether I was working or not. In these tough economic times that has been very difficult to do. I've found a few cosmetology schools and have been considering going there. One school offers tremendous financial assistance where I'll pay about 10% of the full cosmetology program tuition. I'm also considering being an Esthetician because it seems like it would be a bit less hectic and a somewhat more relaxing environment which I need. My question is, do any of the beauty licenses need to be renewed? What are the pros and cons??? I'd appreciate any input from professionals please.

does this look bad to ask a spa this?

i have a few specific med spas i would like to hopefully work for once i get my esthetics license. and i wanted to maybe find a way to write them a letter seeing if there was any receptions or other work i could do to kinda get my foot in the door and learn the rope around there and hopefully earn a position as a esthetician.if not any ideas how to go about asking such a thing and make it sound proper?

Should I get an esthetician licence on top of my cosmetology licence?

I'm in cosmetology school right now, and I was wondering if I should get my estetician licence too. I was wondering if it would make me more money and get me a better job opportunity?

australian citizenship?

I may be moving to Australia with my boyfriend in a few months, but am nervous about being an illegal citizen. He won't have a problem since he is going for work, but I do not have a job there and don't have a sponsor. Is it difficult to legalize yourself there? What are the steps in which I need to take? What preparations should I make beforehand? I am an Esthetician here in California, but my license to practice will not be valid there. Will I gain citizenship if I go back to school there? Will I be allowed to attend school if I'm not a citizen to begin with? Will I be able to just fly into the coutry to begin with as if I'm just visiting? How long would I be able to "visit" on "vacation"? Would marriage immediately make me a citizen? I am very nervous about not being able to stay there with him, so any information that anyone may have would be very helpful Thanks!

Cosmetology grants, loans, scholarships???!?

Im a 22 year old girl in St. Petersburg, Fl. Im currently an Esthetician but would like to get my cosmetology license. I do not qualify for financial aid because my parents income taxes for the past few years is too much, and I am too young to claim myself as an independent. My blood father is a retired veteran, could I get anything from that? Please help!

I need to make a resume, where do I start?

I need to make a resume but I have no idea where to start! What program should use to make it? what info do they need to know? what do they not need to know?? and basically anything else you can tell me to help me get started would be great!

Here's my situation: I have finished school to become an esthetician, however I have not done any of the testing and I don't think I'll be able to anytime soon. There is an opening at a spa for a receptionist and I want to apply for it (and see if there is a possibility of me working as an esthetician there once I get my license).

grants / money for school?

I live in California and am looking to go to school. I was laid off several months ago (close to year) and am having a very tough time finding a job that will met our financial needs. the most that is being offered is half of what I used to make and even those positions are hard to find. And once found I am either too qualified or not qualified enough. I am looking to go through an Esthetician program to get my license. My husband and I have accrued some debt over the last few months so I would have to add to that debt by trying to take out a loan to pay for my schooling, which would only be 4 months. Does anyone know of any sites or places where I can apply for some grants? The school is not part of FAFSA or other government assisted payment programs.

I guess I probably explained it wrong or understood wrong. I guess it can be seen as though they are a school to help prepare for state board exam as an esthetician. You do graduate but you obviously don't get a degree. You get a diploma and can earn certificates. they prepare you by working on real people to practice and once you have completed the course and the hours you graduate and should be prepared to pass the state board test to obtain your license. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Licenses required for makeup artists?

What licenses are needed or helpful in landing a job as a makeup artist? I am wanting to be a certified Esthetician because people say you need to have that license in order to become one? Or at least it looks better on a resume...is this true? Any other licenses that I should know about? Thanksssss
