im doing criminology taking it for 2 years... want to become a probation officer with that

and then i was thikning becoming an esthetician.. or even medical.... But
i want to own one because i want to be in charge. ok thanks.

Which career should I choose?

I am thinking about jobs and I'm trying to decide between massage therapist or a hairstylist/cosmetologist/esthetician. Which would make me more money and which has more jobs available?

Okay, I am 16 and I have finally decided what I want to do...All my life I have always cared about beauty and cosmetics! I love makeup and hair! I love to take care of my skin and eat different foods and supplements that enhance my outer beauty and inner health wise!! I dont want to sound close minded but this is what I truly love and I really want to help people as well with these things.. this is my passion and I want to find a job that involvs these things.. I told my parents that I would like to be a esthetician/hairstylist...they didnt mind but they said that the pay is not that grat for a living and they want me to go to university like my sister and become "something" in life..I understand their point and have come to the conclusion that maybe being a hairstylist/ esthetician may not be a reliable career so I was wondering is there any high paying jobs in the beauty field!! other than being a esthetician and harstylist!! please help me...I feel crushed and hopeless Im so confused and this is something that I really want to do!! please help.

Aesthetician/Esthetician career choice?

So, long story short I was planning on going to school for Psychology. But sadly, once I get my associates I have to be done for now. Because I can not get financial aid, parents make too much. And I can't get a student loan because my parents credit is the lowest you can go and I would have to co sign with them. So I'm screwed. Anyways,

my second option or idea was to go to a school to be a professional skin care person or Aesthetician . The program length is 750 hours. Average Completetion is 6 months. And tuition is about ,000 dollars. Worth it or no?

which will be more beneficial when wanting to become a professional makeup artist? cosmo. or esthetics?

okay so ive been wanting to enroll in an esthetics (facial specialist) course for over a yr now. & i was really hoping to enroll this upcoming fall semester but the college i was focusing on told me they werent going to offer the esthetics class this YEAR! I already accepted my financial aid money so i can still forenroll classes just not that one ): i rlly dont want to wait a whole yr so basicly i was wondering if i should just take the cosmotology classes instead even though that takes longer than getting the esthetician certificate....my main career goal is to become a professional makeup artist. thats y i wanted to take the esthetics classes to learn about different skin types....i dont want anything like certification to hold me back wen trying to get makeup jobs in the future...so which will be more beneficial cosmo. license? or esthetics??

do i need a business degree to own a beauty salon?

and after that i want to do like medical esthetician or esthetician. The thing is i wont have a business degree can i still become an owner after a couple of years of hard work?

Where can I find a video of a brazillian wax being preformed?

I'm going through school as an esthetician, and we are not required to learn how to do brazillian waxes, and a lot of women in my class don't care to. But I am interested in learning every aspect of this career and would really like some informational videos of a brazillian being done so I can understand the process and techniques used better. I don't want a video that is an off angle so it can't be seen, that wont help me, I need a full view so I can be aware of exactly whats going on.

CAREER QUESTION! serious answer?

so when I'm older I'd like to be a esthetician (works in beauty- salons, spas, ect.) I know I'll have to get my degree in cosmetology and whatever else, but I'd like to own my own salon and spa. to own you're own business you have to have a special degree, so I was wondering what type of business school I'd have to go to and what kind of degree I'd have to get?

Esthetician/ Esthiology?

This fall I will be a junior in high school and for the longest I have had no idea what I wanted as career. However, recently I have taken an interest in beauty products and skin care, so I have been looking into esthiology. I find it pretty appealing (except for the giving people facials part), but I wanted to know if it is a growing an in demand career. I live in Philadelphia, PA, and I don't think this career is too in demand here. Is it true that if you move to another state and try to work as an esthetician, your license will become void and you will have to re-earn one?

Are there any esthetician out there? Do you enjoy your job and make a good living? I've tried asking before, but know one answered.

Master Esthetician or Dental Assistant?

I'm 23 and just having such a hard time trying to decide what I would like to do.

I wasted most of my time when I was at a University because I kept switching my major.

Now I've decided I either would love to become a Dental Assistant and Administrator or become a Master Esthetician.

I'm also married and the reason for these two choices are 1) I think I would enjoy both of them 2) I would like a career that I can start in right away.
Both of these options I would be graduated within a year.

Does anyone have any advice as to which one would be more steady, fun, etc.?
Any experience in one and your thoughts about the job?
